Mot Testing Leeds

What's Checked During The MOT Test

The MOT test is carried out to DVSA guidelines and includes a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle to ensure it is in a roadworthy condition. The MOT tester will check the following components to ensure each meets the minimum standard set out by the DVSA before issuing an MOT certificate.

Pre-MOT checks you can do at home.

It’s a good idea to prepare a checklist before your MOT to make sure your vehicle is in the best possible condition by the time it is inspected. The most common reasons for MOT testing failure are areas that can easily be checked at home. So, by assessing these in advance, you can fix any issues and increase the chance of passing your MOT.
